Fabulous hotel set in immaculate gardens. It is set approx 6-7min walk from the busy main area of Sirmione in a lovely quiet area.. We booked superior Lake view rooms which are good-sized modern rooms, well equipped bathroom and a sunny balcony with an adjustable canopy. Half board includes a good quality continental style breakfast with egg options to order and evening meal includes a choice of 3 courses from a fortnightly menu or a variable daily menu. Food is tasty although sometimes we were unsure exactly what we had ordered! We did not use the Spa facilities so cannot comment on this area although it looked inviting. All the staff are very friendly & helpful, being fluent in several languages. From the owner who helped us with our luggage & welcomed us on arrival (after a very hot walk from the Castella) to staff in all areas especially reception & dining room, nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay. Sorry we don't know staff names but they are a credit to you & we would not hesitate recommending this hotel.

This pet friendly hotel is set in a lovely quiet location yet still only a short walk to the hustle and bustle of the village and busy harbour. The room were cleaned daily. The self-service breakfast was very good and the food offerings were excellent and the staff very friendly and attentive. The staff on the front desk were always very helpful and gave great advice regards trains, taxis etc. The harbour has a great choice of boat trips and ferries to other towns along the lake. We took a ferry to the town of Garda for an afternoon.....lovely to spend time seeing another part of the region. We also hired our own boat for a full day....we travelled up the lake as far as possible, it was a fantastic way to really see the vastness of the lake and we pulled into a few of the little harbours along the way. We also did a day trip to Verona which is about an hour away. We went another day to Venice which was a 1.5 hour journey from the Desenzano train station by fast train.

The location is perfect. Just a five minute walk into the centre. Sirmeoni is the prettiest town that we visited and we visited a lot. It has ferry links to all other towns and so many lovely restaurants and bars to choose from. It is a great place to base yourself for the south end of the lakes. The drive into the town is spectacular - you drive through the oldest and prettiest part of town and can only do this if you are staying inside the walls. Have to let the hotel know your number plate so you can automatically enter and leave. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel itself is small and really pleasant. Lovely heated pool with pool bar and loungers. Always plenty of space and choice of where to sunbath. Sun or shade catered for.

The breakfast was of a very good standard and a wide selection of choices. Sitting outside and the garden view was a great way to start the day. The room was lovely, had character and a very good lake view vista. The pool was of a very good size and not overcrowded like some hotels and therefore sunbeds were not a problem ! The location of the hotel was perfect being just outside of the town which could get a little crowded and only a short walk into the centre of the old town. It was also equidistant between the town and the best beaches so ideal there also. I'd read about the friendliness and helpful nature of the staff when looking beforehand at the reviews and I have to say that I totally agree. Nothing was too much to ask.

The hotel is situated nearer the end of the peninsula, so nicely outside the crowded part further down in the midfle near the castle. The staff in the hotel are excellent. Very good 3-piece band playing in the bar on one evening during our stay - very friendly with a great singer, excellent acoustic guitarist playing some nice jazz solos and drummer also very good. The few people listening appeared to be enjoying the band very much. Even though hotel was full, it never seemed crowded, and the pool was great. Starling murmurations at dusk an added extra!
